Also for the chance near the end of the half, it came to nothing because Torres stood still when he was marked.

When Sterling did the same thing earlier, Gundogan keeps moving, gets himself open for the pass and gets an easy goal. If Torres had the same movement it would be 2-0 woth 2 sterling assists.

Exactly. Had a Newcastle player in front of him and didn't move. He's done alright.

Cancelo been phenomenal, once more our most dangerous player going forward, get walker back and get him further up the pitch with the form of some of our other attacking players.

Gundogan been very good once again, wonder how long it will take consistently being the best midfielder on the pitch for him to get some credit. Sterling just night and day on the right compared to the left, we've got an actual threat behind because he doesn't have to check to touch the ball.

Bernardo been quiet but that's more because he's holding the line and everything has been down our right through cancelo. Kdb looks off the pace, hopefully we can get an early second and get him off.Torres done well enough upfront, he's not the answer there but he's filling in and doing good enough

Back 4(3) look solid not had much to do. Been a better performance than our average standard this season just need to step it up a little more to kill the game.

What is really annoying me is the gunner/rag/dipper co-commentators we keep getting. FFS there are a whole host of ex-players who could add so much more to the tv match watching experience.

Thought he was excellent this half. The turning is what got us the first goal.

His assist was great but the rest of his game has been indecisive and powderpuff.

It’s something quite special to have the exact same game unfolding every single week.

KDB has to score, never looked like he fancied it and was looking for an assist the moment he picked up the ball. I expect more than that from someone of his ability.

The midfield is so slow and ponderous its bordering on boring. Why does it need our right back to step in there and show Rodri what to do? Fucking pass forwards and with a little bit of urgency you traffic cone tit.

Newcastle are absolute shite, as they always are when they rock up at the Etihad but we are trying our hardest to keep them in the game.
