I still wouldn’t be happy if I was Pep. Forest are cutting through us like every other team at the moment. They had 8 shots against us in that half including 2 on target and this is Nottingham Forest at home.

Yes, the mid is a touch slower, but it's got experience and know-how and with Grealish in there (always wondered why he never got a look in in the middle), it looks as balanced as we can get, right now.
I like Lewis, but the lad scampers around a lot then, mostly, turns back losing the impetus of the moment of attack.
I like this set up much better despite the odd one or two stray passes. That mid will get better the more it stays together.

Sometimes I think we could have Khaldoon himself on comms and some in here would still be crying about anti-City bias. It just comes across as silly, really.

Happy with ht score. But we look far from confident and too often too open. One goal from Forest and we could see another downfall. To gain confidence it seems more important to try and keep a blank sheet rather than build on the scoreline.
Good first half, great patterns of play and some 1 touch stuff mixed in. I think allowing Haaland to make some diagonal runs into the channels would open our play up so much. We are giving the ball away far too much but maybe that’s expected as they are at least trying to be a little more creative.
I am really liking Grealish in the middle, I feel he should’ve been the natural replacement for Gundo in the number 8 role. He has the legs and the creativity.

2-0 and it’s normally curtains. But teams know we have a soft underbelly and it’s never over. Next goal is vital.

Enjoyed that. Still vulnerable on the break but they were of our own making. But good signs
