McAtee has that special quality that we absolutely need to nurture towards the first team, even moreso than Palmer imo. Would be a shame to lose him to the loan carousel.

I somewhat mentioned McAtee recently in the academy forum. I know Delap, Palmer and even Lavia’s name get mentioned a lot but it’s McAtee that I’m the most excited about because of how he plays. Deft touches, great balance, vision in bucketloads.

I agree. I always thought he was a good player but I guess his face just doesn’t fit.
