I think Pep needs to figure out what he wants from Foden.

Do you want him as an 8 or as a winger?

It's quite difficult to expect such a young player to just be excellent in both positions, constantly losing rhythm built up in a certain position.

Perhaps that's the growing he wants from Foden and he expects he will come off better on the other side of it, I'm not so sure.

I’d struggle to give Dias, Akanji and Rodri anymore than a 3/10 in that half. That Rodri performance was as bad as Javi Garcia at his worst for us. Utterly shite. However, he looks fucked and has been run into the ground over the past two seasons.

That said, as bad as that defensive performance was, with competent finishing we’re going in level at the break.

This comical defending and wasteful finishing is a toxic mix.

No one was more than a 5 in that half for me: all crap.

We are going down trend. Two silly mistakes to conceed two goals. At the same time the front line couldn't score from easy obvious chances. The team is not mentally ready.

Our worst half this season. I said in the pre-match thread, careful tonight.

Dias, Akanji, and I can't believe I am saying this but RODRI very poor tonight. Rodri is on Pep, though. He shouldn't be anywhere near our team tonight. We need Ake, Stones, Kovacic, and Doku on ASAP.

Bernardo, Gvardiol, Phil trying, at least, but it's not coming off.
