Because they are taking minutes to make simple decisions. And it’s getting called in way too often. The officials are using it as a Safety Blanket. There needs to be clear guidelines that make its use exceptional and not routine.

And if they cannot make a decision in under a minute then it should time out,

Plus any player badgering the ref to check VAR should be yellow carded.

I agree about the time taken but VAR is routine, it checks every goal.

It’s irritating to have to wait when you want to celebrate a goal, but it’s far less irritating than being denied a goal because of a bad decision. VAR isn’t perfect but it’s better than what we’ve had before.

Agreed, I'd rather not spend the best part of months pissed off about a CL goal not allowed against pool, because of no VAR. Than literally a minute or two waiting for the correct decision...
