That was fucking woeful.

If that midfield trio played every week, we wouldn’t finish top half, never mind challenge for trophies. They don’t attack. They don’t defend. They’re weak. They’re slow. They’re negative.

Gundo is finished. Bernie hasn’t had a good game in 18 months. Rico is nowhere near our standard.

Maybe we’ve been spoiled in the last decade. We’ve spent years having arguably the best midfield trios in world football. We are miles below that now.

Spurs aren’t even any fucking good.
Said this before the game for a decade plus we have had the best midfield in world football. Now it's bottom half of the league at best.

I think we played ok with the ball and started well. Haaland had 3 good chance and Foden 3 half-chances.

Problem is, as usual, off the ball. Gundogan and Lewis are neat and tidy on the ball but look like they're running in treacle at times which makes us so easy to play through. 2 goals from their midfielder and not once was he tracked by one of ours. Gvardiol was at fault for both really though.

Not really sure where we go from here. I'd probably drop Bernardo next to Lewis and bring KDB or Grealish on for Gundogan. We need some legs and energy from somewhere.

Despite the scoreline, we have had decent chances and could/should really be level. I think if we make a change or two and keep our attacking play going in the 2nd half (unlike the last couple of games), we still have a chance to get a result from this.
