Poyet has a clear and..clever game plan. Soak up the pressure in the first half and maybe some of the second half and then open the game up and attack if the score is 0-0 or even 0-1. This is in light of what happened against Burnely and the reality of fatigue accumulation over the past week or so.

Anytime we get within 20 yards of their goal, the referee desperately looks for his whistle.

Its games like this the top quality left winger is needed to stretch and add pace more. Shame we haven't got one other than Scott Sinclair.

Not really silva had a half chance from a short corner but it's the usual Sunderland game. I.e. Sunderland sit 10 across their area and we pass it around side to side then get bored and shoot from 25 yards in to the top tier.
