Strange half. For most of it, we were absolute shite again. Lucky 1st goal and then a real moment of quality for the 2nd.

Savinho the difference.

There’s no escaping that our midfield is a major issue. I don’t think Bernie touched the ball more than half a dozen times in the opening 30mins. How is that possible, playing CM in a Pep side? Off the ball, it’s even worse. I’m sick of watching Bernie, Kova, KDB and Rico labouring back towards our goal, 20 yards behind play, every time the opposition break.

Thankfully WH are shite and have even less confidence than we have.
 
Absolutely awful half saved by a moment of luck and a moment of brilliance, both caused by Savinho. West Ham have been well worth a goal and we've been shit. Leggy, outnumbered, outrun. We have to have at least two new players in this team before our next Premier League game.

He's my favourite City player of all time, but I'm sad to say Kevin's absolutely done. The game just passed him by there - probably because he was literally walking for most of it. Kovacic and Lewis are suffering badly because of how little Kevin can offer defensively. Hate to say it but he's currently having his "Gary Neville vs West Brom" moment.

Bernardo's running through brick and treacle simultaneously. Both of them deserve better than what they're being asked to do right now. Gundogan as well. McAtee, Wright, O'Reilly, Grealish, and Nunes are all there, and Pep should be using them more to save the legs of our elder statesmen. Very sad to watch them.
 
Similar to the second half vs Leicester but we managed to ride out West Ham's threat. The game is not done so we can't relax but a little a bit of encouragement with our defending.

But Haaland can go, he's done nothing all game. Wait, he scored? Yay Haaland best striker in the world!

But who can I put my ire on.....Grealish is poo! Wait, he's not on the pitch? My life is a lie!

Grealish is shit. And has been for a year.
 
Fair to say we are still rubbish and carrying at least 2 or 3 players. We were very lucky not to concede in the open 10 minutes and then got a fluky goal.

That said, one of the few bits of quality has given us a second goal. I would say we probably need another goal before we can relax.
 
Tbh the score line flatters us. If West Ham were any good they could have scored three. We’ve been sloppy in possession, have hardly made a tackle and have been slow and ponderous in build up.

One big positive has been Savinho. He’s been excellent and his first touch for that second goal was Mahrezesque.

I don't mind that as it happened to us in some of our defeats this season. About time a bit more good fortune has gone our way.
 
Get KdB off for second half. Totally bolloxed and risking further injury. Until he’s half fit, needs to be saved for cameos when we are desperate. Fcuk knows what the medics and Pep are thinking.
