I seem to remember the offside trap being a strength of Pellegrini’s teams before.

West Ham are playing the offside trap like 80s Milan tonight catching us everytime

Some of the stuff he did was extraordinarily good, easily one of the best managers in the league.

Just a pity he was so wedded to the concept of a midfield 2 with one of them (post 2014) being Yaya lumbering around while every long ball by the opponents ended up in a good goalscoring chance.
