The thing is with an offside like that.
They take the line from the very edge of the sleeve of the shirt, now I 100% guarantee if he scores a goal with his arm on that line of his shirt, it gets ruled out as handball.

Can we please please please get rid of VAR?!
The linesman flagged offside. I rather accept his decision right or wrong when it’s marginal than watching these computer mathematics.

Halftime adverts will give BT enough time to edit the footage to show just how far he was offside , lines and frame being chosen as I type .

If they are going off the bottom of the sleeve, if Laporte had rolled his sleeve up, does that make him onside? Because if it does I want us to release kits with vests next season. Why not? Sounds like I’m joking but I’m not. That’s a goal if we are wearing vests.
If he scores a goal with that part of his body it’s 100% a hand ball

The issue is it seems subjective. It looked for all the world that the foot was playing him onside.

It was entirely dependent on where they pick on his arm for the City line to be drawn - it looks like its done manually, so it's hard to believe each decision is made consistently as they'll naturally pick slightly different parts of the arm to go from.
