Absolutely. KDB and Sane would find things equally difficult today. One of them might fly one in from outside the box though. Looks like one of those days that that’s what we’ll need.
 
Liverpool look a far more balanced side. They can see out poor patches without conceding - or at least without seeing their team capitulate. Because our fullbacks are relatively poor defenders, and because our midfielders take risks and push forwards, we’re extremely reliant on either the quality of our centre-backs or the ability of our team to retain possession. That’s why I feel the injury to Laporte could be catastrophic. The early signs clearly suggest as much.

Liverpool play a developed version of kick and rush and have a first XI ideally suited to it, I know what I'd rather watch irrespective of the odd disappointing performance

That's not true. They play a much simpler style of football, have been very fortunate with injury and refereeing decisions. They also did not win the league or the last five domestic trophies.
