Angelino has been part of our weaker lineups both games so far. Considering the step up he's had to make from the Dutch league (especially physically), it's going to take time before he looks the part.
Yep you are right - it is early days but pre season is about two things. 1. For the established players it's all about fitness and getting rhythm 2. The fringe players need to use it to state a case for being a big part of the team. I think of the way Zinchenko and Foden played during the last two years in the pre-season games and they took their opportunity. Angelino will need time but if he wants to not be third choice left back he needs to make more of an impression. Great to see KDB and Rodri looking so good and we must not forget we are playing without our main two strikers so overall a good workout.
