i dont know why pep hates the thought of doku & o'reily going at their fullback. doku could use an overlapping fullback very much

You would never believe a champions league place is still up for grabs. It’s almost as if half the players won’t be here next season so couldn’t give a fuck whether we are in it or not next year

I do wonder how much those care who kind of know they wont be here next season.

Not sure if it's the shape or if we're just absolutely terrified of taking even minor risks. So many times there's been an obvious forward pass through the lines and we don't even consider it. We take the safe option repeatedly. We actually look more threatening when we lose the ball and then press to get it back. Losing the ball because of sloppiness is one thing, losing it because you're trying to make something happen is different.

Phil has been dire in the final third - not even bothering to find space or run between the lines. I know he's had some off field issues but he's playing like he can't be bothered.

Kovacic should be nowhere near the starting 11 has zero ability to find a telling pass, gets caught out when he runs forward. Cannot use space, demands the ball deeper and deeper putting us under pressure.

Nunes is ok but is one brain fart from gifting them a pen or a goal.

Kev is being asked to play like a false 9 but sadly doesn't have the pace to do that. He should be like our quarterback - his strength is passing but he looks lost.

Bernardo is running about a lot but has lost his cutting edge and will not now take on a player - long gone are the days of him drifting past players with ease.

Gundo looked like his old self when he had Nico as insurance and I thought yay quality doesn't leave you but again alongside Kovacic he also looks slow and incapable of playing a telling pass.

Other than that everything is great!

I genuinely think pep will be pleased with that as well. He is so scared of the counter.

But we were quite open to the counter? I don't think he'll be happy. I'm sure he had a plan (overload midfield, all the passes etc) but there's no way that half is what he envisioned, even if it felt inevitable to others from the lineup
