We’ve been getting better, but still well below what is required to control the game. Too many players playing nervously. The stakes are high, but we need to somehow play our game regardless.

Predictable as ever, they’re sitting deep and looking to kill us on the counter. Long balls up to Rashford and Lingard. Predictable, and yet it has been pretty effective for them. Walker is our key to nullifying the pace they have in attack. We should be leaving him back when in possession.

Yellow cards are a worry. We’re one more away from having real problems and the referee seems absolutely determined to fuck us. Jesus! What a one sided officiating display. One of the worst in recent memory.

Gundogan and Silva are being outnumbered, that's all. 3 CB's, 2 defensive midfielders and Young tucking in are up against our 2 number 8's and Aguero. 6 vs 3

It's that simple, they aren't going to do much when that out numbered, the solution is to avoid the middle and go out wide to get around the back, which is why we've seen so many diagonals, but they're hard to do, so there's been some poor ones and some miscontrols. after 30 mins they worked it out and the chances started coming.

Not the best half of football from us, players seem as nervous as me ! So many passes going astray. Signs towards the end of of that half that we are starting to click. If we can keep 11 players on the field, maybe bring on Foden and Sane to add some zip, we can do this. Keep the faith blues.
