I get what you're saying, and "League 1 at best" is very much an exaggeration, but we're a PL and UCL contender and he's a project. He has no business starting for us at this point in his career and the games hes played for us have done nothing to sway me.

He's also a better keeper than you're given him credit for, at the end of the day he is only going to get rusty sat on his arse on the bench, he's done plenty of good things in games to show he can make it, he has made errors as well, the nature of a young keeper, it isn't like Donny hasn't made an error as well.

Going backwards? Before the interntional break we were fucking mint. That has spiked momentum. It’s two losses in two since that. He will have his wacky reasons as to tonight’s line up, but that’s pep. I’d rather that, and these results now and then, than no pep and what he’s brought the club.

Yeah but he's not decided to make 10 changes for a laugh, the starters, which we're overreliant on need a rest, they've played every game and internationals. He got this one wrong but it's obvious this was seen as a game he could risk losing, and the PL is a must win on saturday.

Pep's tactical skill was overloading areas especially midfield, his Barca 'spin cycle' side and later with us but ours was more focused with full backs entering midfield or Stones from CB. We seem to be getting dominated way to regularly in midfield now. We need to get on top of the midfield otherwise we are never going to get back to anywhere near the levels we've been accustomed to in the last few years. Need to go back to basics and control the game.
