Doku is by far the most creative player in the league in many metrics. He's not playing well today but some of the comments are outrageous. He's easily in our best 11 on form, and is young and improving.

If Sunderland are so resolute and refuse to change, Bobb and Savinho are options on the right, and maybe even Marmoush on the left. There are some games when it just doesn’t happen for the player. Odd.

Not sure I'd say the passing is strange per se. Sunderland are giving almost no room to pass through. Good job we've scored from outside the box and a corner because it cold be a long day otherwise.

You can see why they've been hard to beat. Very organised. Thankfully we've kept possession well and not given them much chance at our end.

Playing well so far. Particularly impressed with Cherki, Gonzalez, O'Reilly, and Dias. Maybe could do with speeding things up in open play but we're controlling it well.

Sunderland look a bit tired and overawed - so far anyway. Their shape is fine but their passing out from the back has lacked accuracy and speed.

Long way to go though as Leeds and Fulham proved. No need to change anything yet but we have no idea how Sunderland are gonna approach the second half.
