More of a case of us playing the first two games against teams that were a few levels below intensity as that is newcastle.

It’s obvious that newcastle are out there to play high press football and they have a point to prove it seems. So we have to step up instead of passing the ball around yet leaving Stones trying to keep off 2 sometimes 3 players.

This is the type of game where Fernandinho is missed. Rodri has to do better here.

Let’s see how we will reshape for the second half.
Good post. This is the pattern of how to beat us. Can we step up?

This was looking like a formality after the first goal, but Walker and Stones getting killed on that right hand side,Stones especially looks rusty and negative and putting Ederson under pressur.

The usual matchday crap on here. Lots of credit has to go to Newcastle, who have taken the game to City, Very rare that you see that, when you do it's usually a toss up who wins it. Nothing to do with apathy, no intensity, being sloppy or whatever else you want to call it. We're just playing a team who are up for it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Foden gets hooked again. The replays caught Pep’s reaction when Phil shot instead of passing - he was livid and that was even whilst it was 1-0. Now that it’s 1-2 and gone to pot, it’s only going to add to Pep’s rage with him.
None of that Newcastle performance happens if Foden squares that ball to make it 0-2. It gave them a massive boost not to go 0-2 down and it grew from there.

Pep was fuming with him again.
