Complete lack of energy and dynamism in the side.

Pointless saying it really but the game is crying out for a spark and Foden is the player to offer it.

The whole team looks to be playing within itself. There seems so little intensity and the players default setting is to stroll about and play a square pass.

Raz has scored again but we desperately miss him playing on the right as, besides the goals, offers much less from the left.

Mendy’s strength was going forward but that seems to have diminished and Gundog just wants to play keep ball. Bizarrely Maximum has been the most exciting player to watch, where as we look robotic.

We need Rodri, Bernardo and Angelino.

Rodri for more speed and defensive stability.
Bernardo for more creativity and possession.
Angelino for better crosses.

Sloppy is the best way to describe that half.

It’s been quite awhile (even including this season) since I have counted that many misplaced or poorly conceived passes. It’s not that Newcastle are cutting them out, either — they are just bad passes.

Noticed that very early that the passing is just so poor. The constant floated ball into the box is also winding me up.

Lovely combination by Silva and Sterling for the goal, but other than that, it's been quite terrible.

Silva slow, KDB a little bit short of where he should be. We've not been anywhere near as bad as BT make out though.

We certainly didn't pay for this version of Mendy. That version of Mendy was good, and years ago. Injuries have most likely ruined him, like they'd ruin most players. Can't even blame Mendy. Just sheer bad luck.

Forgetting his injuries, he never was a pep style player. Mendy in form is a flying left back with a mean cross. He has zero technical ability to play in a pep system. It was a poor signing.

Nothing new in this performance- it’s been like this the majority of the season. Toothless in midfield, defence giving away a goal for fuck all and forwards misfiring. It’s a strange old season.
