If Mendy will put as much effort into improving his game as he puts into being a funny clown and instagram/twitter hero he could become useful player for us. Otherwise he will be a very expensive flop who spent 90% of his time here out injured.

Could take months until he finds his rythm after being out for so long. This with other injuries, CB problem is jut too much.

I fear that fitness is not Mendy’s issue. I think that with his injury record he is now afraid of making a tackle. It’s completely understandable but I’m afraid we simply can’t afford the luxury of a defender who can’t tackle. He is actually more of a liability than Kolarov ever was (and that’s saying something) and we either have to fix his head or get rid.
