Very strong team right there except the defense which obviously has Demi, Kompany, Zaba and Sagna to come. Otherwise it does seem like a first XI without Aguero, Fernandinho. Oh and Silva.

Our third string would give their starters a good game .....

And Van Gaal needs to show that his first teamers are capable of beating European opposition even if it is 2nd or 3rd teams....wont get a chance otherwise :)

Great team except the centre-back pair. Clichy has been amazing at right-back. But if we don't have Demichelis or Kompany fit/ready for the Community Shield, Arsenal will toy with our backline. One of them, or Mangala, will be ready for that game hopefully.

Personally, I don't give two fucks about the CS game. I'd prefer to make sure pretty much everyone is ready for the Newc match.
