I’ve resigned myself to the fact the CL is a slightly different sport/code to what we play in England.

The games are different. They’re officiated differently and, if it’s even possible, much worse than the Prem refs. It’s much more stop-start-stop.

We look dangerous enough but that blocked shot from Jesus is a good microcosm of all our struggles. We win the ball high and get out striker in space with options 1 v 1 and have no idea how to exploit it. Even if the shot isn’t blocked it’s tame for the danger that should have been created

We were so appalling in that Lyon game, I think they’ve got the bit between their teeth in this competition this season.

That game was one of the most unacceptable performances I can remember from City.
