Comfortable with Diaz looking lively. Stones is too static to play DM, does not offer enough options, maybe with time he would be more mobile in the position as it’s so new to him

Yeah I kind of agree. I think given time he could adapt to be a good DM, but at the moment I don’t like him there. It’s like he’s trying too hard to not lose possession, he takes more risks and provokes more situations from CB. But I think that’s just purely down to it being a new thing for him. Once it becomes less of a novelty, he’ll get better.

As for the offside, surely they should go back to the first offence. Penalty, Jesus was pulled back initially.

Good half of football from the kids. Muric looking assured and comfortable although with only backpasses to contend with at the moment. Zinchenko has been effective coming forward and also not really tested defensively. Foden spraying the occasion lovely ball and the one to DIaz which led to the goal was terrific. Diaz has also been excellent though needs some work with his final ball.

Yes, been impressed with Muric. He is very comfortable with the ball at his feet and the defenders are really comfortable playing the ball back to him.

He was also barged over when Mahrez bent in that lovely cross later in the half.

But they won’t give anything—it’ll take a heinous act to get a red or penalty as they have to keep this as close as possible.

Impressed so far. Diaz looking like the player he can become. Foden looking silky and his pass to Diaz and his take of the ball is something i want developing into the 1st team.

Stonesy has looked comfortable in the DM role and it looks like it could be an avenue pep can utilise as the season goes on.

Zinchenko has looked better also.

As could probably be expected,a bit disjointed,poor decisions and general signs of rustiness with a couple of lads.

Diaz and Foden are doing ok,but probably need a bit of help in the middle.

I expect we will click better in the second.
