Think Pep has purposely picked our best 1 v 1 dribblers (Mahrez, Grealish, Sterling), on the basis that their front 3 hopefully does very little defending, meaning we should get 1 v 1’s out wide. Foden and Jesus, despite being in form, aren’t as good as those 3 in the 1 v 1’s. Makes sense, hopefully it works.

Pep did say pre-match that the 2 changes are due to “specific qualities we think we need”. Think the game plan is to attract them central, or to one flank, then get the ball out to the winger(s) in 1v1’s.
