Initial thought on Stones, who has never impressed me, is that 3 at the back suits him, hides some of his weaknesses, as it did for Luiz at Chelsea.
Foden is not having a great game, but that's really down to Madrid's Isco, Kovacic and Modric being at another level than United's midfielders. I think Foden is more use to the 4-3-3 the academy uses, than this new system.
