We have not played well. Our normal fluidity is missing and the pitch seems to be extremely fast and bouncy. They have been appalling and the ref should have controlled their behaviour better than he has. I would bring on Zinchenko and move Fern in to the midfield and Laporte central. I don't think DS is in form at the moment so he would make way for me.

I have no argument with the penalty decisions. I just don’t understand why the VAR reviews are taking so long.

We started really well but have faded badly in the last 20/25 minutes. KDB looks completely out of sorts.

Serious Pep talk ( pun intended) at half time, then we come out and score three or four.

2nd one looked offside so a penalty when the player who headed the ball was offside is a bit shiete

Done alright - he’s lost control - he’s allowed the entire Schalke team to bully him.

They have been moaning since the goal. Despite the lack of control, he’s gotten his decisions right except that yellow which I said earlier.

Regardless of his officiating, this was City’s own doing. Dispossessed in possession which led to the first penalty. No fault of KDB’s as there wasn’t really anyone open. Second pen was a gift. Ball wasn’t going close to the player Dinho fouled. Support till the end. There’s still a second leg. This is part of what makes City, City. Sometimes, they just do it the hard way

How they are getting away with being in the refs face is shocking. He has been completely bullied by them.

Both teams are doing it to be fair. Silva fouled a guy and went whining at the ref. VAR is also taking too long. If you are gonna make a decision, make a decision. This ain't basketball. We don't need time outs.
