Do you know what the most pleasing thing today is? Pellegrini realising that Yaya is awful as a number 10. Instead of playing Fernando and Fernandinho side by side, he's dropped Fernando deeper and allowed Fernandinho to help out Yaya going forward. It also allows us to make use of Fernandinho's excellent high pressing, which is something we simply don't have when Yaya is the most advanced. 10/10 from the players so far, but most significantly, 10/10 from Pellegrini. I hope we can keep this up and get a deserved win.
 
I know it's not a big deal but thank you harry redknapp for referring to city as "we", finally!

All English teams in Europe should be supported by the pundits, though we know bt sport is usually heavily rag loaded

Fantastic from City.

Explosive start and two great goals early to settle the nerves.

Brilliant displays all around the pitch, but special mention must go to Nando, Dinho, Raheem and especially the returning hero, Jesús.

Two other participants deserve special mention; the ref has been very good.

And a certain Manuel Pellegrini, who was pilloried by many for omitting KdB from the starting XI. Maybe he knows more about team selection than the armchair managers on Bluemoon.
 
Great half of football. Fair play to the ref as well. Aside from the pen incident, he's not been fooled by Sevilla's falling to the floor tactics and let the game flow.
