I think all the players have reason to be content at the very least so far.

Two very good goals and a comfortable lead without really getting out of second gear so we can’t complain.

However, Otamendi has gone walk about twice. The first time he forced Rodri to make a foul and get a yellow card so he’s on eggshells for an hour. The second time he lets the Shakhtar forward in behind him in acres of space and if he was any good he would have scored. Otta has to cut this s..t out. We are really relying on him at the moment.

We've seemed to take complete control of the game since we took the lead, A third would be nice to kill the game off. Shakhtar got in behind once or twice with Taison looking like the threat.
Fernandinho doing well in the centre back roll, Nice to have another player at centre half that can play those long diagonal passes that we normally see Laporte playing.
Rodri looks a real class act, Seems to be getting better with every game dictating the midfield tonight.

I thought we grew into that half, exactly what most of us were hoping for.

I think SD have a goal in them but reckon if they’re not careful they could concede another 3 or 4 in H2.


BT can’t we just have someone like Micah Richards or Shaun Goater instead of McPointy ...ruining the game for me ffs.
