Kolorov and Demichelis are an absolute liability on the left. Milner is offering sweet fuck all.

That's because Milner is nowhere today. IMO. He is offering nothing going forwards or in defence.
Caught in between every time.

Because we're outnumbered in midfield. It should. Be his responsibility but he's seeing that Yaya isn't working hard enough and neither Negredo or Agüero are dropping deep enough so he's covering what he sees needs covering.

Luke Shaw seems to have acres of space on the left. Not sure where Zab is at times. When they drive through the middle they look very dangerous.

There's no lack of effort from City here, it's just that Southampton have that ability to outplay anyone on their turf when they raise their game. Like an English version of Athletic Bilbao, who can outplay Barca and Real on their day. But we could use a third midfielder... is Rodwell on the bench? Garcia might just make us worse.

Need to take these chances, not as if they're not coming. Saints look good in midfield and zaba is all over the place. Need Yaya to step it up a bit, gone missing in that half.

How long before Pelle realises when teams play against us and can hold the ball well in midfield that Yaya and ferdi isn't enough.
