Fern for Rodri Ake for Cancelo not a chance he will change anything
Don’t think Ake would fair any better and has much less pace on the turn. Cancelo has been left 2 on 1 too often. When Sterling has got back he’s gave it away or then not tracked a simple one two. Him or Gundo need to start helping out more 2nd half.

Least it’s been a decent game to watch which makes a change from recent games.

Positives:

Bernie - better
Eddie - better

Defence looks solid after that pressure we still have not conceded.

Negative:
Rodders
Midfield
Kev getting caught time and time on the ball
Sterling
No vocal point up front with Torres.
Cancelo caught a lot and they will score if not sorted.
Sterling is not helping out cancelo at all and gave up at one stage when he lost the ball. Not acceptable that raz I’m afraid

Decent 15 minutes, took a deserved lead then went to shit afterwards and Southampton are unlucky to be behind at halftime.

Sterling has done absolutely nothing aside from the goal, but as long as he’s scoring you can accept it, Torres upfront just doesn’t do anything for us or him, need to see him out wide and involved more, there’s a lot of enthusiasm but not much else. Bernardo been excellent until he was pushed into the false 9. Hes not making any subs so I’d like to see Bernardo in the right Torres left and sterling upfront for a bit.

Rodri doing his usual Rodri shuffling things, Gundogan been superb, cancelo has been given the run around by Walcott but is sticking to his task fairly well, could do with more help. Stones brilliant once more.

Our set piece defending is worrying me, they are winning everything. same thing happened against United too, no idea how we haven’t conceded from one yet.

Need to be better second half if we’re going to win this.
