The similarly is uncanny actually. But the problems are a bit more than that. Get Foden on the left and a midfield of Bernardo, Rodri and Gundo. Just get back to basics and stop fucking about with the team.

Tbh, Rodri should be able to perform with or without his prefered mates in midfield. He is been shit recently and i don't think having them back will change his form back.

I keep forgetting some of the really crazy stuff on the match day threads - we've done ok & should have scored more than one - example Gundo hitting the post but Jesus has to take the rebound first time. The only reason they are in this is not because of the midfield selection, not because we don't have a striker, it is because without Dias we seem hesitant to make a solid tackle at the back. Cancelo looks like the best player in the world going forward but like he should be playing for Bradford City when defending.

Some people think a team playing at home in a quarter final will just lay down. They have pressed well but come on some of our defending has made Long look a good player. We shall win this if we keep going forward and play faster.

Stones has been very poor. We need him at the back with Dias for the run in. We’ve looked at our best defensively with them two partnering.

I miss the option of a player like Sane in games like this. His pace and ability used to strike terror into teams.

We don't have a player that generates that kind of fear on the break anymore. Sterling is too erratic in front of goal and we have no other genuine pace.

Not even sure that with Foden and Silva things would be any different. No one seems capable of finishing/goalscoring which has always been our weak point.

We arent competing , they are winning every 50/50 we are playing like we have lead in our boots , as for our passing game Stones has put the ball into touch four times and the rest of the team not much better.
Need a complete change of attitude from the players for the second half ,if they keep on strolling about then we can forget about the semi-final draw.

Yep. Teams see weaknesses in them and target them. Our midfield is too slow today. If KDB/Gundogan playing then push KDB up and bring Bernado on for energy.

I think I would bring Bernado and Foden on for Jesus and Sterling who bar the goal has done nothing.
