A shite pass leads directly to a counter...just like a poor corner can do the same. If sterling hits the easiest pass of his life they dont get that counter, on the contrary, we score instead.

No amount of dancing around it changes that fact.

The team is specifically set up so this doesn’t happen. If it does, it’s the fault of literally every player except the one who loses the ball. Because their job is to be positioned to kill a counter if the forward loses the ball. It’s why we rarely break at speed ourselves, and why we concede fewer counter attacks than any other team in the league.

You can keep arguing this, but Guardiola has said it himself when explaining how he sets up the team in Pep Confidential, so you’re wrong, no matter how many times you say the same thing.
 
That last move sums sterling up put in central on goal and doesn't know what to do , yes there were defenders in front of him but hasn't a clue what he is gonna do with the ball so gives it away .
