Not sure we can do it. If we block their release, I think their national associations can apply to have the players banned from playing for City for the same number of games they'd miss for their country. Maybe even more (I'm not 100% on that).

Wow. Fuck that. Club pays the wages and it affects the club when our assets are injured and unable to play for a period of season.

Pep is more of a genius than we thought if the wheels don’t fall off our season. These injuries are too much for the smallest squad in the league.

Correct. We're seeing the cumulative effect of several seasons with minimal summer breaks and a small squad, almost all of whom get dragged across the globe for bloody international games. - Plus more stupid competitions like the World Club Cup next summer.
