After we went 2 down we looked much better. Was that our first shot on target?

Yes it was.

But it's not completely unusual for us to look toothless whilst playing well and creating half opportunities/chances

Pretty poor defending for both goals (what were Dias and Ake doing bursting forward into their half and leaving our left side uncovered for their first) but even with a weakened team, we still look well in this. Gundogan and the rest of the CM started very passively but gradually grew into the game and started to dominate

A bit more focus in our attacking play and less poor defending and we can still win this.

Really impressed. Not playing with a striker and a formation that hasn’t played before. Sure a couple of defensive switches off- fine finish, too, but once the game settled there was only one team keeping possession. Injuries are probably going to cripple us this year, but with so much talent coming through, we’re going to have another big haul of silverware in the coming seasons.
