I mentioned it when he played against Wolves but the way Cherki roams from side to side around the pitch menacingly is so David Silva.

Rusty performance from most. Good for them to get minutes in the legs. I think we’ve got better as the half went on which you would expect.

Really poor to start with and loads of unnecessary mistakes (from players coming back into the team). Grew into it. Cherki, Trafford and Nico the standouts - nice ball from RAN for the goal

We won the 1st half possession trophy though with 73%.
Think our scouting and coaching forget the only stat needed is to put the ball in the net as we are shockingly void of goals bar Haaland in the squad

dogshit half that really exposes the limitations of some of these players. they can do the job when surrounded by star players - rodri, foden, haaland, but on their own they just can't get you anything. not strong enough, not fast enough, not technical enough, not got the power to hit the ball

Need big clear out. Better to admit mistakes and move them on now instead of waiting 2 more seasons.
