I would question Oliver and his motives, every time he refs us it’s all silly non fouls given to opponents, that’s the first time in a while he give us a pen although he did hesitate for a second before pointing to spot..Anyhow back to the match Cancelo, foden, sterling,Rodri and Bernardo all playing well.

Take the combination Silva, Gundogan, Mahrez out of the team and we suddenly look sprightly, full of running and eager to win the ball back quickly. Nice to see.

Liking the looks of Cancelo attacking from LB too, makes the left back choice against Madrid a bit more difficult. I wanted Zinchenko but Cancelo is staking a real claim for the shirt so far.

Bizarre how Cancelo hasn't been getting much game time, it's what we've been missing from an attacking full back

He’s a miles better RB than Walker and gives Mendy a run for his money at LB. it’s criminal that we have paid so much for him and he can’t get a run in a side where full backs have been a problem all season.

De bruyne is playing far too deep/wide. Get him behind the striker like he was Madrid/arsenal away.

To be fair that was a great save by Foster. And it wasn't a too bad penalty by Raheem either.

We are cruising even against the 12 men of Watford.

2 of the most laughable free kicks against us this season. Cancelo didn't even touch their defender and Deeney went down like a bag a shite there, against a man 3 stone lighter.

Hope we can grab some more goals second half. Be nice to see a Sterling hat trick!

for the first 20 mins KDB was the worst player on the pitch for us...but he then suddenly stepped it up and was playing better as the half continued and it was pretty much the same with foden who couldnt get into the game

Cancelo, Sterling playing well and Bernardo looks like he has got a bit more zip about him as well
