Overall, we played really well. Extremely well, against a very difficult opponent. I think we will win, but even if we don't, i am impressed by our level this early in the season.

We’ve been okay, done some good things, but we’ve been erratic and had no pattern to our play other than when Doku has had the ball in attacking areas. Our shape looks all wrong.

Håland, Álvarez, Bernardo and Gvardiol need to pull their heads out of their arsed this half. They were all awful in that first half.

But we’ve still created a lot of chances (although that means the square root of fuck all if we miss them!).
 
We've played quite good I think but been very unlucky, Erling should've scored two and he knows it.

Doku has ran Coufal ragged so far very positive display we've had a few nearly chances too, if it was anybody other than Akanji (not slating him) passing to Alvarez, when Julian made that perfect run it probably wouldn't have been overhit and we could've scored.

The players have mostly been inventive and been punished by one mistake, honestly thought this would be our toughest game so far but their keeper their defensive shape kept them in it before their goal.

This is a very positive performance so far bar Gvardiol overcommitting on their goal, even he's okay bar that and the booking we need to keep calm and carry on doing we should score if we do, on another day we'd be 3 goals up by now West Ham have actually defended very well and caught us with a perfect counter fair play.

Whatever happens there's been no lack of effort on our part we've just gotta carry on at it, all it takes is one goal and maybe the floodgates will open up.

C'mon City.
