My only complaint from that half is Mendy’s now in danger of a red because of his joke of a yellow card.

Shit from Marriner never a yellow. My heart nearly dropped when Podence had him 1 v 1 just before half time I was thinking he's off here.

As we all know, up front we gave absolute quality

The test is getting our defence solid and protected. So far so good. Ake looks a quality addition and looks as though he has been with us a lot longer. Memdy looks like he is going in the right direction with form and confidence

Stones looks better next to Ake and that is probably helped cos they can actually communicate with one another as Ake is fluent in English

You’re clearly wrong. Liverpool destroyed the league last season... how many goals did their no. 9 get? If he makes the space for others that’s a huge contribution in and of itself.

Put Mane and Salah in our front 3 and you'd have a semblance of a point. Jesus needs to step up in the scoring stakes this season or someone will be bought to usurp him once Kun hangs it up. Less misses, more Madrid.

New season, same old refereeing when it comes to us. Other teams can foul foul foul and get away with it. Our first foul ~ yellow card!! It's like the officials try handicapping us as we are too good for the opposition.
