dont know what its like in manchester guys but its shocking where i am with lots of structual damage is it possible the match could fall victim to the gales

Lots of wind/extreme weather is a bit of a match leveler.

We could do with it improving for tonight.

Just been out for lunch from work and have been staggering about like that ref DeCanio pushed over with the wind.

Can't remember a game ever being called off purely due to strong winds. Our only worry should be any structural damage at the ground or severe travel disruptions. Otherwise, the game should be fine. Using a windblower though.

I had been intending to go over for this game but then decided that the FA Cup tie was better value for money (no hotel required), and am glad I made that choice now, the flight from Manchester to Belfast was due in at 9.40 and landed at 11:56 and the edinburgh flight expected at 12:40 has been cancelled.
Going by the weather reports central Scotland and Northern Ireland have been the worst afected so far, but the wind only needs to change a bit for it to start hitting the NW of England more severely and the infrastructure round the ground could cause some concern, though the stadia itself would be ok.
I think the wind is supposed to die down as the afternoon goes on, but to give way to a lot of rain, so hopefully good for our quick slick passing game.

a bit of hail stones in gorton and pretty strong winds nothing out of the ordinary for manchester this time of year.
