Match worn shirt

Nice shirt mate! There are a few of us on the "retro kits" thread who also collect match worn City shirts (you should be able to find it using the search). Post a photo up of your shirt when you get it :-)

Some of those shirts are amazing. Would there ever be an occasion when you would wear them? An FA Cup final perhaps? I wouldn't be able to help myself!

Haha thanks mate. I used to try them all on when they first arrived. I'm more paranoid about damaging them now though, especially the older ones -- some of them are tiny.

Just a replica. I didnt think they'd be worth much, probably be worth more to me than I could sell them for.

Completely agree, much better off keeping it, the sentimental stuff is always the best.

Love this shirt, I'm such a geek, I can even remember seeing it in the programme the owner mentions it first appeared in. One of my first City shirts and still one of my favourites, love the long-sleeves, the fully embroidered badge and the rare Brother logo with white edging, brilliant!

Some great shirt collections here, bravo collectors, jealous big time!

Hehe I know what you mean, I've got a short-sleeved replica of that shirt with the official lettering that I bought on ebay - I'm sure there are a few places poking around on the net that still do the lettering, perhaps Asian sites? You still see those 'Kinkladze 7' shirts cropping up on ebay from time to time, so maybe give the seller an email, might be able to point you in the right direction.

Just wondering, I got my match worn shirt and it's actually lescotts from the brum game. Are away shirts worth more (I'm defo not selling tho!!!)? Just wondered as obviously they are worn alot less.

I think on the whole there's not really a difference in price between home/away. With the black shirt being worn for several games, I'm not convinced that a Lescott away would be worth any more than a Lescott home, but others may disagree?

Having said that, the white 3rd shirt will probably sell for more because it is only being worn 3 times.

I'm reluctantly selling a Benjani shirt from the "Munchen" 50th anniversary memorial derby game in Feb 2008. The shirt was acquired from a former City player (legend!).
