The signs all over the ground show the warnings, surprised at taking of season card though

As i said mate, he knows he has done wrong but come on, it was a cig ffs, you get people giving it the racist chants etc, he had a couple off his cig, Orwellian nightmare is here im afraid.

over excessive punishment for an ill conceived, badly implemented law imposed by an over-eager state.

mind you, you're mate's not the sharpest is he. I smoke but would'nt dream of doing it in the bogs.

He will get a letter in the post from the club. His card will be de-activated until he writes and promises not to do it again. Then he will have to wait until he gets a second letter from the club informing him that the card is re-activated but any further misdemeanors could result in a ban etc.

They did warn him though, the announcer said it over the PA and there are signs about.

Mate, he didnt even get to his seat, it was all on kick off time. The lad goes all over the gaff watching City, like the rest of us he is a top lad and a top blue, its a feckin outrage. Boot him out by all means, but withold his season ticket,? get real.
Season ticket taken is OTT yes but kicking him out for the one game seems fair enough.

That's what happened to a lad I met at Shalke last year. In all he missed 5 games. The Safety Officer of the ground is a strange dude who wont entertain phonecalls or emails. Only a written letter will suffice. So it's a waiting game now for your mate. Zero tolerance with smoking now.

Happened to a mate of mine but my mate doesn't even smoke. Write an apology to Peter Fletcher admitting his mistake and a promise of future good behaviour and he should be ok. He should expect to miss the next couple of home games though.

5 Games, thats horrendous.

If he goes for a sly fag, tell him to leave his season card with a mate so they can't identify him if he's caught
