He's a different kind of midfielder to Modric, but he has the potential to be one of the worlds best players and i am not joking. You can keep all your Brazilians, i'd have this kid, over any other 17 year old in the world right now. That includes Gerard Deulofeu at Barca who everyone raves about.

I know its Youtube, and i know you cant tell much, but i think anyone that watches the video i posted on the other page will understand why i rate this kid so highly. Please also remember, he was only 16 or under during the video footage.

If i was to choose Modric at 17 or Kovacic at he age he's at now, it would be no contest. He has everything Modric has and more.

We do need a a GREAT CM that can distill great passes and open up play and Kovacic really looks like the type. He's 18 and pretty amazing. I looked at a few of his games and checked his compilations online. Even though people are nicknaming him the Croatian Messi , he is more of a Xavi, Iniesta type. Great dribbler, and great a distilling passes. I would love him at City.

Actually on a further note, the whole Zagreb squad is filled with amazing talent. Sammir, Badelj, Vrsaljko are other names that are interesting.

ahaha I do agree. However most videos focus on say a dribble or some goals they might score. When I look at the video I really like his movement and his decisions which I feel are amazing. But yeah it's still is a youtube video.


I don't think there have been any new links with him however.

Any news on this? If he's reportedly out of contract soon, we'd be foolish not to go for him. Especially if Chelsea or the Rags want Modric, we should go for someone billed as his future superior on a free.

Easy to make someone look good on clips, but watching this video i could not help being reminded of Geo.

Get this lad signed up. Sure, it's a YouTube compilation of his best bits against rubbish opposition. But no matter who you're playing against, a killer pass is a killer pass and this kid clearly has that. Not to mention his ability to keep possession.
