I prefer to sign younger midfielders.

The last time we signed a 28 year old midfielder in a similar position, it didn’t go too badly.

Similarly, if he can replicate Modric’s contribution in age, the reduced fee would be a no brainer.

That’s my thinking same here. Still got some years at the top level ahead of him.

He’s still got some years ahead of him. Available at a good price. Would be easier to integrate into the team than younger midfielders.

Absolute no-brainer for me. Chelsea need to shift numbers out of the squad, so with a year left on his contract wouldn't ask the world. He's played consistently at the top level. Very mobile, physical, technically good, carries the ball well. I think he would in many ways be the Bernardo replacement than Gundogan, in the way we've utilised him. All action midfield role that Fernandinho used to fulfill.

found the above surprising in a quick check of stats for Kova over the last year, only one player plays more for us. I like him alot, great played in the metronome CM role

His character and attitude as much as his ability are a huge draw.

He clearly doesnt like losing.....he would bring some much needed bite to the squad.

What do you mean lacks close control? It's one of his biggest attributes. He's a real midfield dribbler with la pausa.

Absolutely brilliant player when he is fit.

Progressive with a real bite to his game. Under someone like Pep, I could certainly see it.
