Not only hasn't City denied the connection to Nunes, like with Mendes, but Pep was really praising him highly after our encounter with them in CL. Seems on the cards and will probably be done quickly when the season finishes.

The club doesn’t deny every link. I could name maybe 15 or more other names we’ve been linked in the past months that the club hasn’t denied. I could also list even more players that Pep has praised and we haven’t and will never sign. In fact, him praising this player could be exactly why the links exist; the agents and the Portuguese media couldn’t contain themselves. I can only imagine what the Brazilian media would do if he ever name dropped a player playing in Brazil currently…
 
In the last 3 seasons we've been linked to Paulinho, Goncalves and now Nunes, one each summer

Bought none. The press love our name

its 60m euros I think - but there was a story a while back it could be negotiated to around 40m

Also , portugese press go overboard - like linking us constantly to bruno and mendes

Do you really think we’d pay 50M for Nunes?
 
Seems like a good signing this guy but you see some of the prices quoted and I can't see us actually making a move

As someone else said, if we are really going to have to pay €60mil for we should go for Tchouameni instead, different styles but Tchouameni adds the steel and energy we need more so than this guy

Nunes shows like he has a good ability to beat the press, but hard to know how he'd fair in the Prme where teams press a lot better

Nunes seems a good Gundogan replacement but feel like we have youth players who could stp up to that role whereas getting a Dinho replacement is a more pressing matter

Never watched this lad play live but is it only me who is totally underwhelmed watching that video? YouTube can make anyone look good but not seen anything in there that makes me think he’s good enough to play for us.

Hopefully if we are in for him he’s one you need to see live to appreciate…
