A follow on from the negotiations advancing yesterday afternoon. We are very close now!

Mcatee is also open the the loan move to Wolves. And that I imagine is why negotiations advanced yesterday.

Chelsea & Palmer rumours are true. Brighton are still in the race also. Palmer told the club about his intentions over a week ago now. He wants more first team football.
Thanks mate much appreciated for a more updated version of events.

That's almost criminal - He’s worth at least three times that. Sheffield United would probably have paid more than £5m.
Was there ever any talk of an offer from them?
Depends whether it's linked to Nunes price, and if the 50% sell is right could eailly be worth more than slling fot 10-15 mill now.

50% sell on clause.

There was not a single rumor of a bid for the lad, Sheff Utd have been spending elsewhere so they either weren't interested or were hoping to get him for a loan on deadline day.

Doyle needs to go somewhere and start his career. 5m is pure profit and helps loosen the wheels for the Nunes deal. Good all round imo.

Breaking News: Matheus Nunes will strike the first training session at Manchester City.

I said it previously but I think he's going to surprise a lot of people. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if he's starting over Kovacic by the end of the season. If nothing, he gives us a lot more athleticism/speed in the middle of the park. Kovacic, Bernie, and Rodri are obviously great but they don't cover nearly as much ground as Nunes does.

This will be a great window if we keep hold of Palmer IMO.
Huh? Bernie literally one of the greatest runners, who covers the most ground, in the PL.

What a surprise.

Tens of pages last night of posters going ape shit over this. All over nothing.

Maybe one day people will learn patience.
Said all along I felt no news was good news on this one, Romano was quiet too which meant Mendes was keeping his trap shut whilst the finer details were being boxed off, now we know it was all about Doyle going other way and no doubt Nunes wasn’t training as knew the deal was practically done.

£47 million? Surely not? I know we shouldn’t care about costs but that’s insane.
