I wonder if he is doing all his can financially (jungle, the book, tv shows) etc before the Covid inquiry comes to light and then he will hide away forever

I sincerely hope the enquiry confirms not only did he break the law, but that he is guilty of involuntary manslaughter by sending untested patients into nursing homes

Every time I see this thread I reflexively go to delete it for violating the CoC rules against using foul language in thread titles.

I would love for someone to do a deep dive into his background. How does a man who is so pathetically cringeworthy, can’t even string a sentence together on camera, has no fixed position on anything, who can’t defend anything he’s done and seems to have no recollection of 2020, who repulses everyone just with his slimy awkwardness - how does that person become a politician and work their way up to one of the most powerful offices in the land by the time hes 40?

I know he went to a private school that charges £10-15,000 a year.

Seems like he didn’t get into Oxford at the first attempt because he went to a local college for a year.

Did PPE at Exeter college Oxford and got a first(!)

Then he went to work a backbench MP (can’t see who), then for his stepdad back home.

Then somehow he gets a job at the BOE who pay for him to do a masters in economics.

George Osborne hired him from there and he goes up the ranks until he’s chief of staff and gets put into running for election in a constituency that’s been a safe tory seat since it’s inception.

2 years later he’s a minister. 2 years after that he’s in the cabinet.

The answer is in the question.

Because Tories need slimy creepy folk to go on TV and tell lies and lick arse.

Neil Hamilton, Paul Scully, Nice but Bim Afolami.

When Mogg, Dorries and Gove don’t make the top 10 it’s a sad indictment of how many tossers there actually are. And that’s not including backbenchers like Fabricant, Bone, Chope and Baker.
When Anderson, Gullis and Bridgen...

Where can you see the figures?
It was widely reported about a month ago that it had sold 3304 copies and had plummeted below the top 1000. The register of members interests shows no royalties paid.
https://publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm/cmregmem/230123/230123.pdf page 217. Although he received £48,000 for a serialisation of the book in the Daily Mail.

On a separate matter it’s worth a look at Boris Johnson’s extra income from that register to get an idea of how little time he spends being an MP and how much he is grifting from all and sundry.
