Asking Savic to reform the verve.
everyone talking about needing to buy new wingers for a plan B as AJ isn't good enough blahh blah blahh.
as it is a plan b, is it really worth spending 20-30+ million on a winger, who won't be a nailed on starter every week?
as wolves look doomed, surely a player of Matt Jarvis' standards wouldn't want to be playing championship football, and as a 25year old Englishman surely he'd be looking to play prem football?
how much would it take to buy him in the summer, seeing as English player prices are usually alot larger than what they're actually worth (downing, henderson, lescott, milner)
also, if he goes to euro 2012 his price would further increase.
would he be good enough in your opinion?

Dom

No where good enough to be where we want to be. Hoilett would be better as he is cheap but Johnson is much better than Jarvis.

I would prefer the young lad from Sunderland whose name I can't remember

I don't want us to purchase him because there are better, but I will say Jarvis is a criminally underrated player. He's very pacey and a good crosser of the ball.

That's it though.

Said it before. We should have signed Jarvis a while ago on the cheap. Constantly runs down the wing, takes defenders on and whips the ball in.

Something Johnson hardly ever does.

I'd sign him personally. Valencia was at Wigan and shined and this lad has done the same at Wolves.

But he is nowhere as tricky as Valencia. Valencia has brilliant ball control. Id sign Mcclean though. A star in the making that lad.

They said that about Albrighton at Villa last season and countless other wingers that have fizzled out, so I'd wait another season or two to see how good McClean gets. As we saw with Johnson, defenders can quickly figure out exciting new wingers.

he will be no world beater or star.

he will be a decent run of the mill prem footballer.

mclean? jarvis? no thanks.

we need top top quality talent to push us onto the next level.

Jarvis is decent, and an improvement on what we have, but Bale,Di Maria,Valencia,Lavezzi,Moutinho or even Oxy Chamberlain, thats the quaity we need.

moutinho is a centre midfielder not a wide player

He can play across midfield and does a far better job out wide than AJ.

WEST HAM have tabled a £4million bid for Wolves’ England winger Matt Jarvis.

The Hammers made an official move last night to offer Jarvis a quick return to the Premier League.

Irons boss Sam Allardyce is keen to start building a team fit for the top flight after clinching promotion.

Jarvis, 25, earned his first England cap in a friendly against Ghana last year, and scored eight goals for relegated Wolves last season.

If Johnson had being playing for Wolves these last 2 seasons I guarantee he would have attracted offers from bigger clubs and would have stood out more than Jarvis has done. Jarvis is a good player but only that, not good enough for a top 6 team in the Prem.
