Grandparents lived on Greenwood Road, some family on Foxlair Rd and up near Silver birch. I have lived Greenbrow Rd, opposite Red Rose and next to the Eagle and before moving to Stranraer, lived on Petersfield Drive, Baguley near Butcher. Have lived in Cheetham Hill, Sale and Timperley as well !! (CH and Sale was in the late 60's/70's) and plenty of other parts of uk !
The Royle Family is just happy family memories !! Had me first Woodbine from my Granddad at 7 ! Puked for ages ! any time we went we made sure we had a load of 50p's for the meter !! Bliss ! Luckily me and me Dad were season ticketers all through the seventies ! So I mostly missed out on the shopping in Civic !

I'd feign death to avoid shopping in civic;o) My dads fave expression was "My Arse"....He said it to Sammy McIlroy to his face at the airport once;O) By the way, I was in the Birch the other day...Not by choice, I had to meet someone there.

After reading your comments on the 'jo gay' thread I'd expect better from you. Theres cunts of all races, class, sexuality etc out there and people who struggle to see past stereotypes are as thick as the family in question as far as I'm concerned. That's not aimed at anyone in particular btw I just dont think stereotypes are useful.
For instance, in my life, I've only ever really been fucked over by straight white males, incidentally something I myself am, but I don't tar them all with the same brush.

I seem to recall an entire community pulling together to find that kiddy. That slipped under some peoples radar didn't it?
