Yes, a very reasonable 150M release clause that cannot be triggered before 2022 - at this rate, it's pure fantasy to believe anyone would pay this for any defender much less one that has struggled to adapt like the Dutchman

The clause looks high at this moment but it wouldn't have been completely ridiculous in a few years had he developed like most people thought he would (and is surely lower than the one he would've received at your club by the way). I'm not sure why this is supposed to mean Raiola did a bad job though, you just seem to be upset that the player isn't at Barcelona.

Reasonable or not, having a release clause is better than not having one for the player. If he had signed for Barça or Real Madrid, he would have one of those crazy release clauses of 400 M or something and you wouldn't be complaining about that.

You are arguing over the fact the sum needed to meet that clause but you are still not explaining how Raiola did a bad work regarding de Ligt transfer/contract.

And the clause is just twice the amount paid by Juventus. Do you think they are fools to spend 75 M€ on a CB and put a 80 M€ release clause ? Respect their intelligence.

PSG has nothing to do here since we don't do any clause, Neymar learnt about it the hard way past summer.
