Maximo Park play Blackthorn Festival - Compstall !

Not into them myself but it's a big band for such a small festival..
Anyone who not been ,it's set in a farm at Etherow Country park . I went last year on the Friday where it's tribute bands , Clone Roses, Happy Mondaze, The Smithes . Great night for a oldie like me . This year it's The Boot leg Beatles, Articsmonkeys, & kasapian

Excellent live band, seen them a couple of times now. Not as into their more recent stuff (albums 4 and 5) as the first 3. A Certain Trigger and Our Earthly Pleasures were particularly good.

Seeing OCS supported by Shed Seven and The Bluetones in Leeds on the 23rd, so this sadly isn't a goer for me, but would urge anyone interested to go and see them.

Saw Maximo Park at a gig in Lille, France, November 05.... with Kaiser Chiefs and The Futureheads.... 14 quid a ticket, top weekend with the then girlfriend, stocked up on the cheap beers / wine in her company car for Xmas
