Got this link sent to me via the MCFC.co.uk updates and thought it looked pretty good. Has anyone here any experience of the hospitality packages?

As i'm here in Belfast, these seem a good option.

yep, the food is second to none, it amazes me every time we do it how the quality is so high for everyone served. You get Buzzer, Tommy Booth, Alex Williams and Colin Bell wandering about at every game Ive done it at and they will try and stop and chat to most (Best tip if you do it is if Buzzer or Boothy come over get them a drink and you'll struggle to get rid of them especially Tommy lol) Personally I enjoy the restaurants more than the boxes for the atmosphere and the meet and greets. The Boxes are a good option for the Uefa nights as you can still drink on match night (during the match if your that way inclined) and once you have done it once you will be very surprised how many packages City will contact you over with tailored special deals and rates
Basically if your thinking of doing it then my recomendation would be go for it, it makes for a good day out

oh yeah there is a dress code in the restaurants but not the boxes.

I have started to use the Commonwealth Bar for my twice a season visits from Amsterdam. The lounge is really good with a buffet and betting facilities and seats are on the half way line giving a terrific view. No need for cards either, just book direct on line or phone. The people we deal with are always very helpful.

As said, if you can get a good price, the lounges can be a laugh.

Not so much if you are going on a business trip, as you often have to restrain your passion, but with mates it can be a great laugh.

A mate and me for years used to use the hospitality at Maine Road and COMS in our jobs. Every season each of us would book a table, tell work it was clients (as we did bits of business for each other), and take the lads on a huge pissup.

The corporate away trips used to be good sometimes too. We once got thrown out of Anfield, the whole coachload of us.

The view is excellent from the COMS seats.

Got my mum and dad hospitality in the Citizen's Suite for their 60th birthdays and they said it was top notch.

Not cheap though.

I've been in the Legends Lounge a few times. It's cheeper than some of the other hospitality but the food is still pretty good.

I have had the pleasure to get one of those packages last year and it was amazing, the only downside really was that we lost to Everton on that day, the food was outstanding!

Me and the lad did it as a christmas treat for the Forest game. It was fanatastic. I must say it calms the nerves and how can you come in at half time 2nil down and be waited on by a lovely waitress and be served more food and drink.
It was an excellent day out . The seats were great as well. We were in the Mancunian restaurant and the seats were at th eback of the directors box.
As Nixon says Tommy Booth.Mike Summerbee, Peter Barnes and Colin Bell were all mooching around.

Worth every penny. Especially if you can ony get over a couple of times a year. Only problem is you dont hget any points on your season card

Did the citizen suite for my lads 18th..unfortunately it was the forest game
good food, carvery style with gary owen as a compere and colin bell ,summerbee and others popping in for photos and autographs then after the match they have a first team squad member come up for a question session ...we had danny sturridge who wasnt to happy to be doing it ,,,,but after that display on the pitch i doubt there was many volunteering to come up

I bet that was a nightmare under Pearce.

"Anybody got any question for Darius?"...*a hundred hands shoot up*...."bearing in mind he's already explained why he's struggling to score...*the hundred hands drop*.

Excellent info, cheers...that's decided then.

Would be ace to meet Alex Williams...as a kid he was my hero :-)

Ah but you can ;o) mate of mine had a box for 3 years and when he reverted back to the stands we looked into this, because the club like to encourage you to do all this sort of thing they got him to send a letter in and he was rewarded with more points than you can shake a shitty stick at on 4 cards, granted he'd had a box for 3 seasons and supports all the golf days and academy auctions etc but they did make it clear that they had done this in the past and would do it again in the future should he require it for one offs as long as they had the details of his cards and the purchase !

He's at every game mate he works for the club and is obliged to be, He heads up CITC. If you do it just ask any of the management that come to check on you to give him a shout, provided he's not too busy he'll call by and is a top blue, really nice fella and still bleedin Huge !

Yeah I went to the Forest game as well, not the best game to do it because of the result! But it wasn't that expensive and had a cracking time.

Thinking of doing it for the UEFA game as well, they got some great rates if you're thinkin of doing it it's a good time to give it a WHIRL.
